By Resolution No. 66 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 17, 2026, it was decided to postpone the implementation of the RoHS Directive requirements for electrical and electronic products.
This Resolution is comprehensive and amends several different Government Resolutions. However, we would like to highlight point 3 of the Resolution, which postpones the entry into force of the requirements of Technical Regulation No. 517, which we wrote about previously.
According to the new resolution, the implementation deadlines for the provisions of the RoHS Regulation have been revised:
The previously established deadline was six months.
The updated period is now “up to eighteen” months.
This effectively postpones the mandatory application of RoHS requirements in Uzbekistan by another year, significantly reducing the burden on market participants and allowing more time to prepare for the new regulations.
